Mark JankowitzMark Jankowitz graduated from Stony Brook University and received his law degree from American University in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Jankowitz worked for five years as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County. Mr. Jankowitz prosecuted numerous cases, including violent crimes, narcotics, theft related offenses and other serious misdemeanor and felony charges.

As a defense attorney with over twenty years of experience, Mr. Jankowitz has defended clients charged with serious felonies such as violent crimes, narcotics, grand larceny, forgery and sexually related offenses as well as misdemeanor crimes such as assault, petit larceny and driving while intoxicated. Mr. Jankowitz has extensive experience in defending clients before the grand jury, as well as having conducted over one hundred jury trials and suppression hearings.

Additionally, Mr. Jankowitz has negotiated numerous favorable plea bargains. This includes significantly reducing or eliminating potential jail sentences, as well as sparing clients from having a criminal record.

Since leaving the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Jankowitz has expanded his practice to include representing accident victims as well as victims of false arrest, police assaults and civil rights violations. Mr. Jankowitz has successfully obtained numerous monetary awards over the years for his clients.
